Eastern Illinois routs Tennessee-Martin 49-13

Nov 14, 2009 - 11:18 PM CHARLESTON, Ill.(AP) -- Jake Christensen became the first Eastern Illinois quarterback to throw four touchdown passes in a game since Tony Romo in 2002 as he guided the Panthers to a 49-13 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.

The victory gave Eastern Illinois (8-2, 6-1 Ohio Valley) a share of the conference championship. If the Panthers beat Tennessee State on Thursday, they will win the league's automatic postseason bid.

Christensen was 18 of 21 for 322 yards, with two scoring passes to Charles Graves and one each to Lorence Ricks and Jimmy Potempa.

Mon Williams rushed 2 yards for a touchdown and Chevon Walker ran 10 yards for another TD for Eastern Illinois. In addition, C.J. James returned an interception 79 yards for a touchdown.

Miguel Barnes and Jason McNair scored on the ground for the Skyhawks (4-6, 3-4).
