Conner lifts Mississippi State past UAB in OT

Sep 24, 2006 - 3:10 AM BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (Ticker) -- Omarr Conner ended the game with a 21-yard run in overtime as Mississippi State beat UAB, 16-10, in a non-conference matchup.

The Blazers (1-3) had the ball first in the extra session but Chris Williams was intercepted by Anthony Summers.

Three plays later, Conner ended the contest to give the Bulldogs (1-3) their first victory of the season.

Mississippi State had taken a 10-7 lead on a one-yard run by Anthony Dixon with 9:11 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Parker Mullins tied the game on a 37-yard field goal with 1:57 left.

Conner completed 14-of-23 passes for 115 yards. Williams was just 9-of-20 for 99 yards and was intercepted twice.
