Old Dominion rallies to beat Jacksonville 28-27

Sep 19, 2009 - 10:19 PM JACKSONVILLE, Fla.(AP) -- Dorian Jackson had a 32-yard touchdown catch from Thomas DeMarco with 45 seconds remaining to lift Old Dominion to a 28-27 win over Jacksonville.

Old Dominion (3-0) overcame a 27-14 fourth-quarter deficit. DeMarco rushed for a 47-yard touchdown early in the fourth to cut the lead to 27-21. He rushed for 136 yards and completed 16 of 38 passes for 175 yards.

Mario Crawford ran for two touchdowns for Old Dominion, in its first win over a Football Championship Subdivision team.

Jacksonville (1-2) had a chance to win the game but a 52-yard field goal attempt by Donovan Curry went wide right as time expired. The loss snapped a five-game home winning streak for Jacksonville.

Jacksonville quarterback Josh McGregor passed for 300 yards and three touchdowns, but was intercepted twice. Josh Philpart caught nine passes for 109 yards to lead the Dolphins.
