Old Dominion's Wilder signs five-year contract
Aug 6, 2013 - 6:24 PM Norfolk, VA (Sports Network) - Old Dominion University has signed football coach Bobby Wilder to a new five-year contract as the Monarchs continue to transition from the FCS to the FBS.The contract, announced Tuesday, runs through the 2017 season. The Monarchs will play as an FCS independent this season before joining Conference USA next year.
Wilder has directed the ODU program since the sport was restarted on campus in 2009. The Monarchs have posted a 38-10 record in four seasons, including two straight trips to the second round of the FCS playoffs in 2011 and 2012.
