ODU's Darr suspended for hit
Oct 8, 2013 - 7:04 PM Norfolk, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - The NCAA announced on Tuesday that Old Dominion University linebacker John Darr will be suspended for the first half of ODU's game at Pittsburgh as a result of his hit on Greg Pratt in the fourth quarter of the Monarchs' 21-17 win over Liberty."We respect the decision made during the game by the officials and confirmed by Rodgers Redding (NCAA Coordinator of Officials) and we will move forward with John sitting out the first half of the Pittsburgh game as instructed," ODU Head Coach Bobby Wilder said. "The good news is Coach Turner Gill informed me that receiver Greg Pratt is feeling much better."
The hit was flagged for a penalty and Darr was ejected from the game.
ODU plays at Pittsburgh on October 19.
