Hill to make Southern Illinois debut at FAU

Jan 4, 2016 - 7:10 PM (STATS) - New Southern Illinois coach Nick Hill will make his debut Sept. 26 at Florida Atlantic as part of the Salukis' 11-game schedule announced Monday.

Hill was named the Salukis' new coach Dec. 23 after serving this past season as the team's co-offensive coordinator.

SIU will play six home games. After the opener at FAU, the Salukis host Southeast Missouri State (Sept. 10) and Murray State (Sept. 17) in non-conference action and then Missouri Valley Football Conference opponents South Dakota State (Oct. 8), Indiana State (Oct. 22, Homecoming), South Dakota (Nov. 5) and Western Illinois (Nov. 19).

They will face Northern Iowa (Oct. 1), Illinois State (Oct. 15), Missouri State (Oct. 29) and Youngstown State (Nov. 12) on the road.

The Salukis, who were 3-8 this past season, will not play North Dakota State in the unbalanced Missouri Valley schedule.
