Washington names Jennifer Cohen interim athletic director
Jan 20, 2016 - 3:20 AM SEATTLE (AP) The University of Washington has appointed Jennifer Cohen as its interim athletic director.Washington President Ana Mari Cauce announced Cohen's appointment on Tuesday. Cohen will take over for Scott Woodward, who is leaving the school to take the athletic director position at Texas A&M.
Cohen has been at Washington for 15 years and most recently was the senior associate athletic director for development. She also oversaw the football and baseball programs in that position. Cohen has also held positions in the university's central development office during her time at Washington.
Cauce says Cohen's experience in the department will be important while the school undertakes a national search for Woodward's replacement.
