Arizona State hires Seumalo as defensive line coach

(AP) Arizona State has hired Joe Seumalo to be its defensive line coach as head coach Todd Graham fills the holes in his revolving staff.Seumalo held the same position at UNLV last season and for nine seasons at Oregon State before that. He replaces Jackie Shipp, who took a similar position at Missouri.
Last week, Arizona State added Texas assistant Jay Norvell as its passing game coordinator and receivers coach. T.J. Rushing was hired from Stanford in January to serve as defensive backs coach.
Former offensive coordinator Mike Norvell left the Sun Devils to become Memphis' head coach and took Chip Long and Chris Ball with him. Running backs coach Kodi Burns left for Auburn earlier this week after being hired by Arizona State in January.
