Former Missouri QB Maty Mauk signs with Eastern Kentucky
May 21, 2016 - 4:45 PM RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) Former Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk has signed an athletic grant-in-aid to play this season for Eastern Kentucky.EKU athletics spokesman Kevin Britton confirmed Saturday that Mauk will join the FCS program after going 17-5 over three seasons as the Tigers' starter and leading them to back-to-back Southeastern Conference Eastern titles. He will have one season of eligibility remaining with the Colonels.
Mauk was suspended three times in four months during his junior season. New Tigers coach Barry Odom dismissed him in January for another violation of team rules after a video was posted to Twitter that showed a person appearing to snort a white, powder-like substance.
