Middle Tennessee QB Brent Stockstill out vs. Minnesota
Sep 16, 2017 - 7:24 PM MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Middle Tennessee State quarterback Brent Stockstill has been scratched from Saturday's game against Minnesota with an injured left shoulder. Stockstill said earlier in the week that he was confident he would be ready to play after injuring his shoulder last weekend in a win over Syracuse. But he never even donned pads or a helmet for pregame warmups when the Blue Raiders took the field at TCF Bank Stadium. It was a big setback for Middle Tennessee. Stockstill owns the school record for single-season touchdown passes and threw for 269 yards and three touchdowns last week to beat Syracuse. Sophomore John Urzua was put into the starting lineup in Stockstill's place. Urzua started three games last season while Stockstill was injured. ___ More AP college football at www.collegefootball.ap.org and www.Twitter.com/AP_Top25No one has shouted yet.
