Washington State LB Pelluer out for season with broken foot
Sep 18, 2017 - 6:36 PM Washington State middle linebacker Peyton Pelluer will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken bone in his left foot on Saturday, according to multiple reports.The Lewiston Tribune in Idaho was first to report the news, confirming with the redshirt senior's family. The Seattle Times also verified with the family. Washington State typically does not discuss injuries.
He suffered the injury early in the second quarter of last week's 52-23 win over Oregon State.
Pelluer was one of the top defenders for the 18th-ranked Cougars. He made 21 tackles and intercepted a pass in the first three games this season.
Pelluer was a honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection last season, when he was fourth in the league with 93 tackles, including 7.5 for loss.
Washington State (3-0, 1-0 Pac-12) is in the midst of five consecutive home games to start the season. The Cougars play Nevada on Saturday before a Top 25 showdown on Friday, Sept. 29, against No. 5 USC.
