No. 20 Central Florida seeks 1st 6-0 start at Navy

Oct 19, 2017 - 3:14 PM No. 20 Central Florida (5-0, 3-0 American) at Navy (5-1, 3-1), Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network). Line: UCF by 7 ½. Series record: First meeting. WHAT'S AT STAKE After reaching the Top 25 last week for first time since 2013, Central Florida seeks to go 6-0 for first time in school history and remain atop American Athletic Conference East. Navy is coming off its first defeat, a 30-27 disappointment at Memphis, but still holds a share of first place in the AAC West and hopes to keep it that way. KEY MATCHUP Central Florida's prolific offense against Navy's porous defense. The Midshipmen have no trouble scoring, but their inefficient defense will be severely tested by UCF QB McKenzie Milton, whose 337.4 yards per game of total offense ranks 11th in the nation. That's one big reason why the Knights lead the nation with a scoring average of 50.6 points per game. PLAYERS TO WATCH UCF: WR Tre'Quan Smith. The junior standout leads the Knights with 20 receptions for 430 yards and ranks third in the nation with seven TD catches. Last week, in a 63-21 rout of East Carolina, he topped 2,000 yards receiving for his career. Navy: QB Zach Abey. The multi-faceted junior efficiently runs Navy's triple option with his arm and legs. Abey has 1,016 yards and 12 TDs on the ground and has thrown for 491 yards and five scores, including game-winner in a 48-45 win over Air Force on Oct. 7.
