West Virginia QB Grier leaves with possible broken finger
Nov 18, 2017 - 6:21 PM West Virginia junior quarterback Will Grier left Saturday's game against Texas with what appeared to be a grotesque broken finger on his throwing hand.Grier fumbled near the Longhorns goal line as he dove for the pylon in the first quarter and ran off the field holding his hand high. One of his fingers appeared to be misplaced.
Grier entered second nationally with 34 touchdown passes and fourth in passing yards per game at 344.
Sophomore Chris Chugunov, who was 10 for 16 passing this season entering the game, replaced Grier.
