Alabama LB Moses (foot) out vs. Clemson
Dec 27, 2017 - 5:29 PM Alabama linebacker Dylan Moses will not play against Clemson in the College Football Playoff semifinal game because of a foot injury, coach Nick Saban announced Wednesday.Moses, a freshman, was injured in practice last week.
Selected to the SEC All-Freshman team, Moses likely will be replaced by sophomore Mack Wilson in the Sugar Bowl matchup versus the defending national champion Tigers (12-1) on New Year's Day. Wilson returned from injury in the regular-season finale against Auburn.
Moses recorded 30 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss (including 1.5 sacks) and one interception this season for Alabama (11-1).
Clemson is the top seed and will play the fourth-seeded Crimson Tide for the third consecutive year in the postseason. Alabama beat the Tigers for the 2015 national title, with Clemson turning the tables last season.
