Texas coach appears to mock Lock's TD celebratory dance
Dec 28, 2017 - 5:38 PM Texas coach Tom Herman appeared to mock the touchdown celebration of Missouri quarterback Drew Lock following the Longhorns' 33-16 win in the Texas Bowl on Wednesday.Lock, who was the all-Southeastern Conference quarterback this season, busted out the quick dance move after tossing a 79-yard touchdown pass to Johnathon Johnson on the first play of the third quarter. However, the Tigers flubbed the extra-point attempt and were left trailing 21-13.
Herman and a number of Texas players responded by mocking the celebration after a Longhorns' touchdown with 1:39 remaining in the fourth quarter.
The 42-year-old Herman did not address the issue following the game while Lock took the display in stride.
"You can look at it like this is a pretty big program, and when the head coach is mocking your dance move, you must be doing something right," said Lock, who completed 18-of-34 passes for 269 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
"You're not a nobody. You're definitely doing something that is catching people's attention."
No one has shouted yet.
