Oklahoma State forces six turnovers in rout of Baylor

Nov 11, 2006 - 9:58 PM STILLWATER, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Keith Toston, Dantrell Savage and Oklahoma State happily took advantage of Baylor's numerous miscues.

Toston rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns and Savage ran for 116 yards and a score as the Cowboys crushed the error-prone Bears, 66-24, in a Big 12 Conference matchup.

It was the second-most points scored by Oklahoma State in the modern era, trailing just a 70-point effort against Southern Illinois in 1973.

Zac Robinson added 90 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries for the Cowboys (6-4, 3-3 Big 12 South), who collected 387 yards and five touchdowns on 54 carries.

Bobby Reid completed 9-of-10 passes for 88 yards and two TDs in limited action for Oklahoma State, which scored 49 straight points after Baylor tied the game at 3-3 on a 31-yard field goal by Ryan Havens with 5:14 left in the first quarter.

Reid gave the hosts the lead for good with a nine-yard TD pass to Brandon Pettigrew just over three minutes later. After two TD runs by Toston, Reid capped a 28-point quarter with a 13-yard toss to Pettigrew with 17 seconds to play in the half.

Blake Szymanski threw three interceptions and fumbled three times, losing one, for Baylor (4-7, 3-4 South), which turned the ball over six times.
