- Opening Line: Ole Miss -5, O/U 66
- Current Line: Ole Miss -6.5, O/U 66
Overview
Taking a 4-0 start on the road to Athens, the Razorbacks faced an uphill battle last week as 16.5-point favorites, and that was before the quarterback change for the Bulldogs. Originally expecting JT Daniels, Stetson Bennet Got the Start for Georgia and it was exactly the spark the Bulldogs needed to get their offense going.
It certainly didn’t help that Razorbacks’ offense got completely blanked on the day, putting up just 162 yards of offense on the day as they got outrushed by -198 yards by the Bulldogs stable of workhorses.
For the Rebels, the story was similar as they headed to Tuscaloosa to take on the #1 Crimson Tide; as was the result. In a game that was even more lopsided than the final score (42-21) would indicate, the offensive juggernaut that is Ole Miss got dominated on both sides of the ball getting blanked in the first half 28-0 before tacking on 21 in the second vs. a Crimson Tide team happy to run out the clock.
In what was their first real test of the season, it was also the toughest any team in not only the SEC but the nation can face, and I expect a re-focused Ole Miss team this week who has quietly been playing well on defense as well. Even with the Alabama result, the Rebels are averaging 3 sacks per game and is one of the most improved aspects of this team.

- Home team 4-1 ATS in L5 Razorbacks/Rebels matchups
- Underdog 9-1 ATS in L10 Razorbacks/Rebels matchups
Bottom Line
Since opening at -5, this line almost immediately moved to -6.5 indicating early respected money thinking last week’s results were more indicative of Arkansas’ quality than the Rebels. Taking a look at both in aggregate I agree, as the Rebels offense still remains near the #3 offense in the country at 549.3 yards per game.
I think we see it get back on track in this one and for the Rebels to get back to their blistering pace.
Pick: Ole Miss -6.5
