Oklahoma looks to remain perfect all-time vs. Baylor
Nov 14, 2006 - 10:31 PM No. 16 Oklahoma (8-2) at Baylor (4-7), 12:00 pm ESTWACO, Texas (Ticker) - No. 16 Oklahoma tries to improve to 15-0 all-time against Baylor when they meet in a Big 12 Conference contest on Saturday.
The Sooners have won all 10 matchups against the Bears since the formation of the Big 12 and have a 6-0 record all-time in Waco.
Oklahoma has won the series' first 14 games by an average of 36-16 but needed double overtime to edge Baylor last year, 37-30.
The Sooners (8-2, 5-1 Big 12 South) won their fifth straight game with a 34-24 triumph over Texas Tech last weekend.
Fourth-string tailback Chris Brown ran for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns for the Sooners, who scored 24 unanswered points. Paul Thompson paced their offensive attack with a career-best 309 passing yards and two TDs.
Baylor (4-7, 3-4 South) has lost three straight games and four of five. Last week, the Bears were blown out at Oklahoma State, 66-24.
Quarterback Blake Szymanski committed four of six turnovers for the Bears, who gave up 49 straight points after tying the game at 3-3 in the first quarter.
