Georgia Tech looks to keep Duke winless
Nov 14, 2006 - 10:34 PM Duke (0-10) at No. 18 Georgia Tech (8-2), 1:30 pm ESTATLANTA (Ticker) - Duke has two chances remaining this season to win a game. It almost certainly will not come this week.
The Blue Devils try to snap their national-worst 18-game losing streak when they visit No. 18 Georgia Tech in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup Saturday.
Duke (0-10, 0-6 ACC Coastal) absorbed its 22nd consecutive conference loss with a 28-7 setback at then-No. 22 Boston College last weekend.
Freshman quarterback Thaddeus Lewis was intercepted twice for the Blue Devils, who also have lost 28 straight ACC road games.
Georgia Tech (8-2, 6-1 Coastal) wrapped up the division title and a berth in the ACC championship game with a 7-0 win at lowly North Carolina last week.
Tashard Choice ran for 119 yards and a touchdown for the Yellow Jackets, who limited the Tar Heels to 211 yards and intercepted a pair of passes in the end zone.
Georgia Tech has won 10 of the last 11 meetings with Duke, including a 35-10 victory at Durham last year.
