Henry lifts Arizona to surprising rout of Oregon

Nov 19, 2006 - 12:50 AM EUGENE, Oregon (Ticker) -- Chris Henry and Arizona pulled off another major surprise.

Henry rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns and also caught a scoring pass as Arizona ambushed Oregon, 37-10, in a Pac-10 Conference matchup.

Coming off a 24-20 upset of then-No. 8 California that ended the Golden Bears' national title hopes, the Wildcats were even more impressive Saturday in becoming bowl eligible.

Henry had a 15-yard touchdown run and caught a 21-yard TD in the opening half, when the Wildcats (6-5, 4-4 Pac-10) jumped to a 24-10 lead.

Henry's 61-yard TD jaunt with eight seconds left in the third quarter gave the Wildcats a 34-10 cushion.

Arizona, which has not had a winning season since 1998, concludes its regular-season campaign at home next week against archrival Arizona State.

Still smarting from last week's 35-10 drubbing at Southern California, Oregon (7-4, 4-4) committed four turnovers, including three interceptions by Dennis Dixon.

Jeremiah Johnson scored on an eight-yard run in the second quarter for the Ducks, who play their regular-season finale at Oregon State next Friday.
