College Football Week 8 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Mississippi State vs. Alabama

Prior to last week, since 2019 Alabama had lost just two regular-season games, both of which immediately was followed up with a game vs. Mississippi State. In both of those instances, the Crimson Tide beat the Bulldogs by 31 and 40 points. And here we are again.

Following last week’s battle of a game on the road at Tennesee, the Crimson Tide will now return home ticked off as Missippi State rolls to town off a loss of their own. Falling to Kentucky on the road 17-27, the Bulldogs lost in all three phases of the game. More importantly, Kentucky was able to keep QB Will Rodgers in check, as the gunslinger averaging 352 yards per game was held to just 203 and a 1:1 TD-to-interception ratio.

Embarrassed last week on a national TV spot and their biggest game of the year, look for the Alabama defense to come out flying in this one as they blow out their SEC foe.
