College Football Week 10 Odds, Picks & Prediction: Clemson vs. Notre Dame

I grabbed Clemson -2.5 in the look-ahead spot over a month ago and was certainly expecting to have a much bigger middle here than I currently do. Despite being a perfect 8-0 and the #5 team in the country, the Tigers are just 4.5-point favorites against a struggling Notre Dame team; to put it mildly. With losses to Stanford and Marshall already under their belt, the Fighting Irish have bounced back slightly, albeit against much lesser teams.

Winning two straight vs. UNLV and Syracuse, the Irish will now welcome in a Clemson team continuing to be disrespected despite being perfect on the season. The one thing that Notre Dame does well, run the ball, Clemson counters with in spades, currently allowing just 91.1 yards per game on eh ground to rank #7 in the country.

With NFL-caliber players nearly two-deep at their skill positions, not to mention in the coaching box, I like for Clemson to win this game relatively easily despite what the odds suggest.
