Palko helps Pittsburgh rout I-AA The Citadel
Sep 23, 2006 - 9:32 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Tyler Palko picked apart The Citadel.Palko threw for four touchdowns as Pittsburgh routed the Division I-AA Bulldogs, 51-6.
Palko completed all but two of his 17 pass attempts for 313 yards for Pittsburgh (3-1), which outgained The Citadel by a whopping 506-152.
A senior, Palko threw touchdowns of 20 yards to Derek Kinder and 36 yards to fullback Conredge Collins to open a 14-0 lead midway through the first quarter, and the rout was on.
Duran Lawson went 15-of-24 for 87 yards, a touchdown and an interception for the Bulldogs (0-3), who were meeting the Panthers for the first time.
