Hello Wisconsin Badger Fans!!!

It feels great to be able to cover a great program that has plenty of great players, traditions, and most importantly FANS!

I am Marco Martinez. I have been covering football for the past 7 years. Over the past 7 years, I have covered the San Francisco 49ers for multiple sites and a few colleges, most notably, Fan Nation by Sports Illustrated for the Stanford Cardinal.

Additionally, I have a podcast named Clutch Gene Sports on YouTube.

Don’t hate me, I know you are probably a Green Bay Packers fan or another NFL team. I’m here to cover the Badgers, not the NFL.

I have a BA in Sociology from California State University Stanislaus, and plan on pursuing my masters degree in Sports Management within the next year.

I have loved sports since the day I could pick up a ball. Sports isn't a hobby for me. It's a part of me. I plan on making sports my career.

Sports isn't only great to play, but it is great because you get to meet wonderful people as I plan to do with the Badger family!

I hope to provide great content during a spectacular year that ends in a great winning season under new head coach Luke Fickell.
