Tennessee Titans draft needs

Apr 19, 2007 - 4:25 PM Coach: Jeff Fisher (13th full year) General Manager: Mike Reinfeldt

Last season: 8-8, Tied 2nd place AFC South

Major offseason additions: CB Nick Harper.

Major offseason losses: RB Travis Henry, WR Drew Bennett, WR Bobby Wade, G Zach Piller.

1st round pick: 19 2nd round pick: 50

Draft strategy: Need to provide Vince Young with some targets. Lost wide receivers Drew Bennett and Bobby Wade as free agents and David Givens is coming off major knee surgery. University of Tennessee wide receiver Robert Meachem may be headed to Nashville. Dwayne Bowe of Louisiana State is another possibility with the 19th pick. Last picked a wide receiver in the first round in 1998, when they selected Kevin Dyson.

Need a pass-rushing end to complement Kyle Vanden Bosch, who saw his sack total drop from 12 1/2 in 2005 to 6 1/2 last year. Jarvis Moss of Florida and Charles Johnson of Georgia are possibilities with the 19th pick.

Cornerback and punt returner Adam "Pacman" Jones will miss the 2007 season after violating the league's personal conduct policy for repeat offenses. The Titans knew a lengthy suspension was coming so they signed cornerback Nick Harper. Likely will still consider taking a cornerback in the second round.

Need a running back to complement LenDale White, a second-round pick in 2006 who became the team's top back when Travis Henry signed with Denver.
