NFL picks for Week 14

Dec 9, 2007 - 2:06 PM By Chris Palochko PA SportsTicker Staff Writer

Only four weeks remaining before my record starts over. Season to Date: 25-37-1

Best Bets: 3-10

(Home team in caps)

1. (Best Bet) NEW ENGLAND (-10 1/2) over Pittsburgh - A perfect time to take the Patriots as they continue their march toward an unbeaten season. Plus, the Steelers have played poorly on the road.

2. Cleveland (-3) over NY JETS - If the Browns hope to make the playoffs for the first time since 2002, these are the types of games they must win. They will find a way.

PICK: Cleveland, 23-17

3. Minnesota vs. SAN FRANCISCO (under 39) - Plenty of Adrian Peterson coming the Niners' way. Just hope Trent Dilfer doesn't turn into a turnover machine.

PICK: Minnesota, 20-14

4. Indianapolis (-9 1/2) over BALTIMORE - Ravens could be completely shot after coming up short last week against the Patriots. And a memo to the Ravens: Bad teams find ways to lose games.

5. Dallas (-10 1/2) over DETROIT - While the Cowboys are tuning up for a playoff run, the Lions will continue their freefall.

PICK: Dallas, 34-20

6. Ny Giants (+3) over PHILADELPHIA - Even with Donovan McNabb, the Eagles are finished. Hope the mighty Eagles fans enjoyed A.J. Feeley's seven interceptions. Memo to Eagles fans: Be careful what you wish for.

PICK: Ny Giants, 20-17
