Vikings undrafted rookies include Cockran, Stave

(AP) The Minnesota Vikings have signed 10 undrafted free agents, including two area prospects: Minnesota defensive end Theiren Cockran and Wisconsin quarterback Joel Stave.The deals were finalized Monday with Cockran, Stave, Marshall cornerback Keith Baxter, Penn State tight end Kyle Carter, Georgia linebacker Jake Ganus, Massachusetts wide receiver Marken Michel, Florida International defensive end Denzell Perine, New Mexico running back Jhurell Pressley, Kentucky State cornerback Eric Rawls and Maryland running back Brandon Ross.
The group of 10 will join the eight players recently drafted by the Vikings plus several others on a tryout basis at the team's annual rookie camp this weekend.
Cockran had 15 1/2 sacks in his career for the Gophers.
Stave went 31-10 as a starter for the Badgers, making him the program's all-time winningest quarterback.
