Saints add veteran receiver Brown, kicker Barth
May 23, 2016 - 9:47 PM METAIRIE, La. (AP) Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says New Orleans has signed receiver Vincent Brown and kicker Connor Barth.Brown and Barth participated in the Saints' rookie camp earlier this month on a try out basis.
The 27-year old Brown, who is 5-foot-11, has played in parts of four NFL seasons since 2011, when he was drafted by the Chargers out of San Diego State.
His best season was 2013, when he caught 41 passes for 472 yards and a touchdown. He played in seven games for Oakland in 2014 and one game for San Diego last season.
Barth, a seven-year veteran out of North Carolina, appeared in 12 games with Tampa Bay last season.
Loomis says the Saints have waived long snapper Chris Highland, who'd been signed earlier this month.
