NFL Note - Baltimore Ravens Dixon, Kenneth

Jul 26, 2017 - 1:56 AM RB Kenneth Dixon could miss the season because of torn meniscus, according to a published report. Dixon underwent surgery Tuesday and needed to have the meniscus repaired instead of trimmed, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. A repair has a recovery timetable of 4-to-5 months compared to 6-to-8 weeks to trim the meniscus. Dixon was second on the team in rushing with 382 yards on 88 carries in 12 games during his rookie season of 2016. He ran for two touchdowns and also had 30 catches for 162 yards and a score. The 5-foot-10, 223-pounder earned an increasing role in the backfield late in the season with double-digit carries in four of his last six games. Dixon was scheduled to miss the first four games of this season to serve a suspension for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
