NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Scott, Rashawn

Jul 28, 2017 - 6:00 AM WR Rashawn Scott (foot) begins training camp on the PUP list due to an injury sustained during offseason workouts. Scott, a second-year player, appeared in three games last season and is thought to be battling for a fourth or fifth receiver spot.

RB De'Veon Smith, the undrafted rookie from Michigan, was taken off the PUP list Wednesday and participated in Thursday's opening practice. Smith is competing in a crowded field and is likely behind Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Damien Williams, Storm Johnson and Senorice Perry.

T Eric Smith, the undrafted rookie from Virginia, was taken off the PUP list Wednesday and participated in Thursday's open practice. Smith is a long-shot considering he's behind starters Laremy Tunsil and Ja'Wuan James as well as backups Sam Young, Terry Poole, Jesse Davis and Avery Young.

QB Ryan Tannehill, whose left knee injury caused him to miss the final three regular-season games and the wild-card playoff game at Pittsburgh, remains healthy, just as he was throughout offseason workouts.

WR Jarvis Landry, who is in the final year of his contract, doesn't seem to be a concern for head coach Adam Gase. It's believed the Dolphins haven't talked to Landry's representatives recently. Regardless, Gase said he's not worried this will be a distraction. "I don't have to tell him anything," Gase said. "He does his thing. He comes in here. He works. He's trying to get ready for the season. It's football for him. That's what he's dealing with."
