NFL Note - Green Bay Packers Hundley, Brett

Aug 12, 2017 - 7:38 AM No. 2 QB Brett Hundley played the entire first half and worked three series with the No. 1 offense because Green Bay held Aaron Rodgers out of the game. Hundley finished 8-of-15 for 90 yards with one touchdown, one interception and a 66.0 passer rating. Hundley's numbers could have been much better, but the Packers dropped at least three of his passes. Still, Hundley and the Packers were pleased with how his night went.

"It was good. I had fun out there," Hundley said. "I think the offense did a good job. The first few drives, just getting things going and then after that, we had a good time. Out there slinging it around, having fun. I think everybody settled down after the first two series and we got things rolling. It felt good - not only for myself but for everybody else."

Hundley, a third-year player from UCLA, is seen as a potential trade chip after this season ends. With Rodgers the starter for the foreseeable future, Hundley's path to the field is blocked. So the next month - in which Rodgers may not play at all - is huge for Hundley.

"It's a big opportunity," Hundley said. "I think every time I step on the field between those white lines, it's fun for me but it's a huge opportunity, not only because, obviously, we don't know how long Aaron's going to play, but what I put on tape of myself, I want to put on the best that I can do. It's a big opportunity."
