Dolphins reach contract agreement with WR Griffey

Aug 15, 2017 - 12:02 AM The Miami Dolphins and undrafted wide receiver Trey Griffey have agreed to terms on a contract, multiple outlets reported on Monday.

Griffey, who is the son of Hall of Fame outfielder Ken Griffey Jr., was waived by the Indianapolis Colts in June. He was on the injured reserve list prior to the transaction and reached a settlement with the team.

Griffey recorded 23 receptions for 382 yards and two touchdowns with the Arizona Wildcats in 2016 and was an All-Pac 12 honorable mention selection in his senior season.

The 6-foot-3, 209-pound Griffey had 79 receptions for 1,241 yards and six touchdowns in 44 career games at Arizona.
