NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Johnson, David
Aug 15, 2017 - 1:41 AM RB David Johnson only got three carries (for 16 yards) in Saturday's preseason victory over the Raiders and his last run involved taking a massive hit from Oakland linebacker Cory James. Johnson wasn't injured, but it left the home crowd of more than 61,000 gasping."I saw him pop right up so it's going to be tough to hurt a 228-pound back, regardless of the collision," general manager Steve Keim told Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. "David's a guy that, as good as he is, he needs the reps as well. Not only in the passing game, but the run game and understanding his keys and all those sorts of things. That's the only way you get better, is to replicate it through full-speed play."
