NFL Note - Carolina Panthers Davis, Thomas
Aug 16, 2017 - 11:12 AM LB Thomas Davis signed a one-year contract extension, the Carolina Panthers announced Tuesday. The deal for Davis, a first-round draft pick of the Panthers in 2006, runs through the 2018 season. The Charlotte Observer, citing a source, said the one-year is worth $6.75 million, with $3 million of it guaranteed over the next two seasons. Davis, 34, registered a team-high 132 tackles in 2016 and became the franchise's all-time leader in that category with 1,086 tackles while earning his second straight Pro Bowl appearance.No one has shouted yet.
