Aug 18, 2017 - 8:07 AM QB Josh McCown will get a chance Saturday night to cement his status as the Jets' week one quarterback.

McCown, who played one series as the starter in the preseason opener last Saturday but directed the Jets to their only touchdown in a 7-3 win over the Tennessee Titans, will play considerably more against the Detroit Lions. "We will try and give him more than seven plays," Jets head coach Todd Bowles said Tuesday.
