Colts sign G Vaughn, waived/injured OLB Mount

Aug 18, 2017 - 2:14 PM The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent guard Terran Vaughn and waived/injured outside linebacker Deiontrez Mount on Friday.

If Mount clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts' injured reserve list. He suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's preseason opener against the Detroit Lions.

The 6-foot-3, 306-pound Vaughn spent time on the Buffalo Bills' practice squad in 2016. He previously participated in the Oakland Raiders' 2016 offseason program and training after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin.

Vaughn started 38 of 46 career games at Stephen F. Austin primarily at the right guard position. As a senior in 2015, he started all 11 games at right guard.

The 6-5, 253-pound Mount spent time on the Colts' active roster and practice squad last season. He played in five career games, recording one interception and one pass defensed with the Colts (2016) and Tennessee Titans (2015).

Mount was originally selected by the Titans in the sixth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
