Rams to sign LT Whitworth
Sep 21, 2017 - 7:49 PM The Los Angeles Rams addressed their offensive line by reaching a contract agreeement with left tackle Andrew Whitworth on Thursday.The deal, which will become official after4 p.m. ET when the league's new year begins, is for three years and $36 million -- with $15 million guaranteed, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.
Whitworth has started all 16 games in each of the last three seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 35-year-old has spent his entire 11-year career in Cincinnati after being the Bengals' second-round pick in the 2006 draft.
Whitworth has appeared in 154 games (150 starts) for Cincinnati.
Whitworth is expected to help protect the blind side of former top overall pick Jared Goff.
Los Angeles is expected to move former first-round pick Greg Robinson to guard, according to Rapoport.
