OT Dunlap calling it quits
Sep 21, 2017 - 7:45 PM Offensive tackle King Dunlap is retiring from the NFL, the firm that represents him posted on social media Monday.Sportstars posted the following on Twitter:
"It's been a great run, King! Congratulations to King Dunlap on 9 seasons as he moves on to the next step. #HailToTheKing #BestIsYetToCome"
The Los Angeles Chargers released the 31-year-old Dunlap in March, shortly after the team signed fellow offensive lineman Russell Okung to a four-year, $53 million deal.
Dunlap served as the team's left tackle for the past four seasons, but a concussion and leg injuries forced him to miss 13 games the past two years.
Dunlap has played eight seasons since being selected in the seventh round of the 2008 draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.
