NFL Note - Chicago Bears Amukamara, Prince

Sep 22, 2017 - 8:42 AM CB Prince Amukamara (ankle) went through a complete practice Thursday for the first time since his injury occurred early in the third preseason game. It's likely Amukamara would move right into the starting lineup if he is healthy. Kyle Fuller played the first two games in his place and coaches have been generally pleased with Fuller's play. "In my head right now I'm just preparing like I'm going to play the whole game, until they say otherwise," Amukamara said.

Amukamara has seven career interceptions in six seasons and only one over the last two years, but the Bears think he can make plays on the ball and that's been an issue for a defense with only 16 interceptions since Vic Fangio became defensive coordinator.

"He's got the quick-twitch you're looking for from a cover guy," head coach John Fox said. "His transition is pretty good. I think he's been, maybe an area of his career he hasn't had a lot of picks. But he's worked very, very hard on his hands."
