NFL Note - Cincinnati Bengals Eifert, Tyler
Oct 19, 2017 - 10:07 AM TE Tyler Eifert underwent season-ending back surgery and will complete his rehab in Cincinnati. Head coach Marvin Lewis said the surgery went well."We're really disappointed for the player," Lewis said. "We tried to stave this off for as long as we could. He's still young. There's an opportunity for him to get healthy." It's the second back procedure Eifert has undergone in the past year. Eifert played in 28 games in 2013 and 2015 combined, but only 11 combined over his other three seasons. He had 52 receptions for 615 yards and 13 touchdowns in his Pro-Bowl season in 2015, but just four catches for 46 yards in two games this year.
