NFL Note - Baltimore Ravens Smith, Jimmy

Dec 5, 2017 - 10:39 AM CB Jimmy Smith, the Ravens' top player in the secondary who suffered a season-ending left torn Achilles injury in Sunday's game, has been suspended four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, the league announced Monday. Smith, 29, decided to drop his appeal and begin serving his suspension immediately after being injured in the 44-20 victory over the Lions. Smith, the Ravens' first-round pick in 2011, matched his career high with three interceptions this season. He started the Ravens' first 12 games and also had 26 tackles and nine passes defended.
