NFL Note - San Francisco 49ers Garoppolo, Jimmy
Dec 9, 2017 - 8:41 AM QB Jimmy Garoppolo will attempt to win his fourth consecutive start when the 49ers visit the Houston Texans on Sunday. Garoppolo, who won twice for the New England Patriots before debuting as 49ers starter in the Week 13 win at Chicago, can join just three other active quarterbacks who won their first four career starts (Drew Brees in 2002, Ben Roethlisberger in 2004, Trevor Siemian in 2016). Garoppolo can also become just the second 49ers quarterback ever to win his first two road starts for the team. Jim Plunkett won his first three road starts in 1976, and Elvis Grbac won four straight bridging the 1995 and 1996 seasons. No one has shouted yet.
