Chargers' Perryman, Phillips exit with hamstring injuries

Dec 17, 2017 - 4:07 AM KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Chargers linebacker Denzel Perryman left Los Angeles' Saturday night game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hamstring injury and safety Adrian Phillips departed with an apparent knee injury.

Perryman needed assistance limping off the field after going to the ground late in the second quarter. Trainers later took Perryman back to the locker room on a cart. The team announced he is questionable to return.

Perryman started the season on injured reserve due to an ankle injury. Perryman has collected 23 tackles in six games this season.

Phillips found himself rolled up while pursuing Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt for a tackle. Team trainers attempted to take Phillips off the field on a cart, but he eventually limped to the trainer's table on the sideline with assistance. The team did not immediately disclose his injury or availability for the remainder of the game.

Phillips left the game leading the Chargers in tackles for the game with eight.
