Overview

The Carolina Panthers started the season at 3-0 and looked like a surprise contender in the NFC. They could have benefited from a good schedule because now they come in this game have lost three straight. Last week was one of their more competitive games during the losing streak. They went toe-to-toe against the Vikings. They staged a late comeback from down 28-17 to tie the game at 28 and send it into overtime. Unfortunately, they would lose on a game-ending field goal.

The Giants are once again in a downward spiral. They are looking at another top 10 pick come April. The offense has been atrocious, ranking 27th in points scored this season. Last week showed how much they’re not ready to compete at an elite level. The NFC- powerhouse Los Angeles Rams came into East Rutherford, moved on offense, and shut down on defense with a 38-11 win.

Bottom Line

There’s no way to sugar-coat it; the Giants are deficient in all aspects. The Panthers are not that much better, but they’ve shown promise this year. We’ve seen Carolina play well against some bad teams this year. The Giants are as bad as it gets. Even last week showed this losing streak could be a minor hiccup. Panthers get the win, and Sam Darnold can feel like he had the best on the field at Metlife Stadium for once.
