To put things bluntly, the Falcons are not playing very well right now. They have been outscored 68-3, and it looks hopeless. The defense has been consistently awful as it sits 31st for points allowed (28.8 PPG), but the inconsistency of the offense is what has hurt them most. Last week against the Patriots, you can’t pinpoint what exactly went wrong because it was everything. They desperately need the return of Cordarrelle Patterson as he missed last week’s game with a high ankle sprain. The journeyman running back is having the best season of his career and has been the Falcons’ best playmaker.

Another team that looks hopeless on offense is the Jaguars. The No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence is not having a good rookie season and now has gone three weeks without throwing a touchdown, and he has not thrown for multiple touchdowns since Week 1. This team can’t click on either side of the ball as their -12 points difference is the second-worst in the league. Running back James Robinson came up on the injury report again with heel and knee injuries. Robinson has been dealing with this for a few weeks and has missed one game. Jacksonville will need him on the field if they want any chance to win this game.
