Week 4 gave us plenty of nasty weather, primarily along the Northeast. Fans who attended the Jaguars-Eagles game may still be drying out from spending several hours in a deluge.

Let’s see if Mother Nature has any tricks up her sleeve for Week 5.

NFL Week 5 Weather Report: Advice & Predictions (2022)

Detroit Lions at New England Patriots (-3)

• Forecast: Sunny, 64 degrees
• Wind speed: 8-20 MPH

Jared Goff historically struggles outdoors, but the conditions at Gillette Stadium shouldn’t add any more adversity.

Los Angeles Chargers (-2.5) at Cleveland Browns 

• Forecast: Partly sunny, 61 degrees
• Wind speed: 13-30 MPH

The wind gusts could be worth monitoring as we inch closer to kickoff. But with sustained winds at just 13 MPH, the wind shouldn’t play much of a role in this one.

Tennessee Titans (-1.5) at Washington Commanders 

• Forecast: Sunny, 67 degrees
• Wind speed: 7-10 MPH

Perfect conditions for the Ryan Tannehill-Carson Wentz showdown we’ve all been waiting for.

Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-9.5)

• Forecast: Sunny, 88 degrees
• Wind speed: 9-15 MPH

Nothing of concern in Tampa.

Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars (-7) 

• Forecast: Sunny, 82 degrees
• Wind speed: 9-15 MPH

Nothing to report in Jacksonville. Should be beautiful hot tub weather at TIAA Bank Field.

Miami Dolphins (-3) at New York Jets 

• Forecast: Sunny, 64 degrees
• Wind speed: 8-20 MPH

Winds should be light for most of the game, although a couple untimely gusts could throw off some kicks and passes.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills (-14) 

• Forecast: Clouds and sun, 61 degrees
• Wind speed: 17-40 MPH

The wind could make things difficult on rookie Kenny Pickett in his first career NFL start. Pittsburgh’s offense was already likely to struggle with a rookie on the road against this Bills defense. But perhaps the wind makes Buffalo’s high-powered passing game a bit less dangerous. The under 46.5 could be worth a play.
