New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka will interview with the Arizona Cardinals for their vacant head-coaching job, per NFL insider Field Yates.

The interview with Arizona will be Kafka’s fourth. He has also interviewed with the Houston Texans, Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts. The Texans appear to be zeroing in on San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, and the Panthers already hired Frank Reich to be their head coach.

There have also been reports that the Denver Broncos, still seeking a replacement for the fired Nathaniel Hackett, could request to interview Kafka as they consider widening their search for a new head coach.

It is obvious that Kafka, in his only season as Giants’ offensive coordinator, has gotten the attention of teams around the league. Even if he doesn’t secure a head-coaching job this cycle, the amount of interest he has generated makes it seem like just a matter of time before the Giants need to replace him.

Defensive coordinator Wink Martindale had a second interview over the weekend with the Indianapolis Colts for their head-coaching vacancy.

Giants quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney had drawn interest from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their offensive coordinator position.
