Dubnyk, Oilers blank Canucks

Apr 6, 2011 - 4:22 AM Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Devan Dubnyk stopped 26 shots for his second career shutout as Edmonton downed Vancouver, 2-0.

Ryan Jones and Magnus Paajarvi each had a goal while Jeff Petry added two assists for the Oilers, who took both games of the home-and-home set against the Canucks.

Roberto Luongo made 20 saves for the Canucks, who have already locked up the Presidents' Trophy and dropped consecutive games for the first time since a four-game slump from Jan. 16-22.

Jones scored off a tip-in of a Jordan Eberle shot on the power play with three seconds left in the first to give Edmonton a 1-0 lead.

Dubnyk stopped 18 shots through the first two periods to keep Vancouver off the board.

Paajarvi scored a power-play goal with 2:46 left in the game to give Edmonton some insurance and Dubnyk finished the frame with eight saves to preserve the shutout.

Edmonton plays in Calgary on Wednesday...The Canucks host the Wild on Thursday...Vancouver took four of the six games in the season series.
