Nov 28, 2010 - 8:16 AM Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Patrick Kane scored the decisive goal in the third period and Corey Crawford made 21 saves to lead Chicago to a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles at Staples Center.Crawford withstood a lot of late pressure and shots to win his fourth consecutive start. Patrick Sharp also scored for the Blackhawks, who have won two in a row to end their six-game road trip at 4-2-0.
Jonathan Quick stopped 21-of-23 shots for the Kings, who have dropped three in a row and six of seven. Anze Kopitar netted LA's lone goal.
"We've got to start playing like we did in the beginning of the year, those first 15 games," Kopitar said, referring to the Kings' 12-3-0 start. "We've got to get started again."
After a scoreless first period, Sharp got the Blackhawks on the board with his 15th goal of the season, a wrister at the 10:36 mark of the second period.
Kane's tip-in made it a 2-0 game at 1:06 of the third before the Kings cashed in on a 5-on-3.
Jonathan Toews earned a roughing double-minor at 13:22, and Dave Bolland was called for high-sticking only 32 seconds later. About a minute into the two- man advantage, Kopitar snapped a shot by Crawford.
But the Chicago goaltender held steady the rest of the way, securing his team's fourth consecutive win over LA.
"You just have to stick with it and keep playing hard," Crawford said. "I thought our guys did really well in blocking shots and keeping it to the outside and that made it way easier for me."
