Flyers LW Gagne returns to action vs. Rangers

Nov 6, 2007 - 12:46 AM NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Philadelphia Flyers got some good news Monday night as left wing Simon Gagne returned to action against the New York Rangers.

Gagne last played on October 24 in a 4-3 loss to the Florida Panthers. Gagne left that game with dizziness after being hit by defenseman Jay Bouwmeester in the first period and did not return.

Fueled by the addition of center Daniel Briere, Gagne was off to a fast start this season with four goals and four assists in eight games.

The 22nd overall pick in 1998, the 27-year-old Gagne has 205 goals and 195 assists in 510 career contests. He has reached the 20-goal plateau in six of his seven seasons, including a pair of 40-goal campaigns.
